What's in the box
The SET826 Fit Kit includes:
- OMM 12 × 175–184 mm thru-axle with 1.0 mm thread pitch;
- pair of upper mounting pucks;
- high-strength UV-resistant Panduit zip ties;
- clear protective frame patches for use under the mounting pucks and zip ties;
- complete mounting hardware;
- specific spacers in different thicknesses.
Why are multiple spacers included?
Every Old Man Mountain Fit Kit includes between two and four spacers of different thicknesses.
They are not all intended to be used at the same time.
They are supplied to adapt the system to different frame designs and thru-axle lengths, eliminating the need to purchase additional parts.
Some kits also include 6 mm spacers, used to compensate for differences between the length of your bike's original thru-axle and the replacement axle supplied by Old Man Mountain.
Certain Fit Kits also include a specially profiled spacer designed to match original thru-axles with a tapered head, ensuring proper alignment between the axle, frame and rack mounting system.
Rack installation
The lower rack mounts attach directly to the replacement thru-axle supplied with the Fit Kit.
The upper mounts can be secured using the included Mounting Pucks and heavy-duty Panduit zip ties, allowing the rack to be installed even on frames without dedicated upper rack mounts by fixing it to the seat stays.
