Why choose this rack

The Tubus Logo Classic 29 25CrMo4 is the dedicated version of the Logo designed for bikes with 29" wheels and wide tires, where standard racks may be limited by clearance and frame geometry.

It retains the key features of the Logo platform:

  • dual-level design
  • panniers positioned lower
  • free upper platform

This setup improves bike stability and allows for more efficient load management, especially on long-distance rides.

Compared to the Tubus Logo Evo, the Classic 29 is a more targeted solution: it is built to handle setups where tire clearance and frame geometry are more demanding, typically on 29" bikes and adventure-oriented platforms.

Compatibility

Bike type

  • trekking / touring
  • gravel with wide tires
  • rigid MTB
  • adventure / travel bikes

Mounting system

  • rear eyelet mounting (4 attachment points)

Frame compatibility

  • compatible with frames equipped with rack eyelets
  • compatible with quick-release (QR) frames

Thru-axle compatibility

Compatible with thru-axle frames depending on frame geometry and axle standards:

  • direct mounting may be possible if eyelets are present
  • specific adapters may be required if eyelets are missing

Not compatible with

  • frames without mounts (unless using specific adapters)
  • full suspension bikes (generally not compatible)

Real-world limits

max load 26 kg
tire clearance up to approx. 60 mm
fender clearance up to approx. 65 mm
lower mount spacing 150–180 mm
max distance between upper struts 70 mm

Wheel & tire compatibility

Designed for 29" wheels (often also usable with 27.5", depending on frame geometry), with tire clearance up to approx. 60 mm. Always check actual clearance between rack, frame, and fenders.

Position

  • rear

Important note:
The frame must be designed to support a rack. Otherwise, installation may compromise safety and structural integrity.

When it makes sense

The Tubus Logo Classic 29 is the right choice if:

  • you ride a 29" bike
  • you use wide tires or MTB/adventure geometries
  • you want a stable rack for rear panniers
  • you need a solution tailored to modern travel bikes

It is particularly well suited to adventure platforms and rigid MTBs adapted for touring.

When it does NOT make sense

  • trekking or gravel bikes with standard tire clearance
  • when a Tubus Logo Evo already fits properly
  • lightweight setups where extra clearance is not needed

In these cases, the Tubus Logo Evo is usually the simpler option.

Primary use

  • rear panniers

The lower rail allows panniers to sit lower than on single-level racks, improving stability and control.

Typical pairings

Best for carrying

  • loads distributed in panniers
  • light top load (e.g. tent, sleeping mat)

Notes from external sources

29"-specific racks are designed to adapt to modern bike geometries and wider tires.

They are appreciated for:

  • increased tire clearance
  • better compatibility with MTB-derived frames

In real-world use, they allow pannier setups even on bikes originally designed for other purposes.
