Its logic is different from that of a classic touring rack like the Divide: here the focus is on load stability, low weight, and modularity, with 3-pack mounts on the uprights and multiple attachment points on the platform.

The Elkhorn Short can be mounted on a thru axle using a dedicated Fit Kit. This makes it possible to use the rack on many modern bikes that were not originally designed for rack mounting.
