Bombtrack Hook EXT Ti
The Hook EXT Ti is the ultimate expression of the Hook EXT platform: a titanium gravel adventure bike built for riders who want a long-term companion across any terrain, with no compromises on comfort, reliability, or durability. The 3Al-2.5V titanium frame delivers a smooth, consistent ride quality over time, with excellent resistance to corrosion and real-world wear—ideal for long-distance travel and intensive use.
Unlike other EXT models, it features a Shimano GRX Di2 2x drivetrain, offering a wider and more precise gear range—especially effective for long distances, loaded riding, and varied terrain. The 27.5” wheels and stable geometry complete a platform designed to stay composed on rough surfaces and predictable even as conditions become more demanding.
The result is a bike not meant to be replaced after a few seasons, but to support years of real-world riding: a considered choice for those seeking premium comfort, lasting durability, and an adventure platform built for the long haul.
Tubeless-ready wheelset with 27.5″ × 2.0″ tyres for traction and comfort on rough surfaces.
Multiple mounting points on frame and fork: ideal for bikepacking, loaded touring and everyday use.
Key strengths
Titanium construction: minimal maintenance, no rust, long fatigue life.
Versatility: fully ready for racks, bags, fenders, dynamo and expedition setups.
Light yet robust thanks to the titanium + carbon pairing.
Top-tier drivetrain and brakes for consistent performance in all conditions.
Wide-volume tyres for grip, comfort and control on mixed terrain.
Short description
The Hook EXT Ti is a premium titanium adventure gravel bike designed for long-lasting performance, exceptional comfort and reliable handling on gravel, dirt and multi-day routes.
Frame – max without fenders: 650B × 52C 700C × 40C
Fork – max without fenders: 650B × 57C 700C × 57C
Technical interpretation
The Hook EXT Ti offers generous tyre versatility, with different limits at the frame and fork:
In 650B format, the frame takes up to 52 mm while the fork accepts up to 57 mm, allowing high-volume setups for comfort and off-road control.
In 700C format (not original spec), the fork allows up to 57 mm, while the frame is limited to 40 mm — this rear limit defines the real maximum in 700C mode.
This opens the door to effective configurations:
Wider front tyre for traction and steering confidence (front traction bias).
Narrower rear tyre for efficiency and speed.
Balanced setups for gravel touring or rugged exploration.
This flexibility is one of the reasons the EXT Ti is so well-suited to long-distance adventure riding.

Frequently asked questions and answers about the Bombtrack Hook EXT Ti
What kind of bike is the Hook EXT Ti?
It is the most premium and long-term version of the Hook EXT platform. A titanium adventure gravel bike built for durability, heavy use and real-world travel.
What is the difference between the Hook EXT Ti and the steel versions?
The Ti keeps the same off-road logic and stability, but adds a smoother ride feel, corrosion resistance and significantly longer lifespan.
What is the difference between the Hook EXT Ti and the Hook EXT C Apex AXS?
They follow different philosophies. The Ti focuses on comfort, durability and long-distance riding, while the C Apex AXS is lighter, quicker and more fast & light.
Why does it use a 2x drivetrain instead of 1x?
The GRX Di2 2x setup provides a wider and more usable gear range, especially helpful on long rides with mixed terrain, steep climbs and loaded setups.
Is it suitable for long trips and bikepacking?
Yes, it’s one of the most suitable Hook EXT models for that purpose. The titanium frame, mounts and geometry make it ideal for multi-day travel and consistent use.
27.5” or 700C: how does it behave?
With 27.5” it delivers maximum comfort, traction and stability on rough terrain. With 700C it becomes more efficient, but it remains an off-road and load-oriented bike.
Who is the Hook EXT Ti really for?
It’s for riders who want a “buy once, ride for years” bike: durable, reliable and capable of handling everything from gravel to long-distance travel.

¹ The bike size recommendation is intended as an approximate guideline to narrow down options based on rider height. Proper bike fitting is complex and also depends on other body measurements and factors. Since no two riders are exactly the same, these recommendations cannot be 100% accurate for everyone. The best way to determine your ideal size is to contact your Bombtrack dealer (info@bikejamming.it) or a professional bike fitter.
