Real-world use
The SEIDO RGT is a fork designed for riders using their bike for fast gravel, all-road riding, advanced commuting and lightweight bikepacking, without turning it into a heavy expedition platform.
Compared with adventure forks more focused on load carrying, the RGT prioritises a lighter and more dynamic ride while still allowing cargo cages, fenders, lights and a dynamo hub setup.
It is designed for modern gravel and all-road bikes with contemporary geometry and offers tyre clearance up to 700×47 or 650b×2.1", enough for gravel roads, dirt tracks and long mixed-surface rides.
Differences from other adventure forks
The main difference compared with forks such as the SEIDO MGV concerns intended use.
SEIDO RGT
- focused on gravel, all-road riding and lightweight bikepacking;
- lighter and more dynamic;
- ready for cargo cages but not compatible with lowrider racks;
- ideal for riders travelling light or using the bike every day.
SEIDO MGV
- focused on travel with real luggage loads;
- compatible with lowrider racks up to 20 kg;
- greater tyre clearance;
- better suited to heavier travel/adventure setups.
If you are looking for a fork to travel light while keeping the bike fast and clean, the RGT is often the more coherent choice.
Position, handling and comfort
The UD carbon construction is designed to preserve steering precision and long-distance comfort, reducing vibration and fatigue without making the bike feel vague.
The 400 mm axle-to-crown measurement (real fork height) makes it compatible with many modern gravel and all-road bikes using contemporary geometry.
The fork can be configured with:
- semi-internal brake hose routing;
- fully internal routing through the steerer;
- internal dynamo cable routing.
A particularly interesting solution for clean builds, premium commuters and modern gravel travel bikes.
Setup
The RGT works best on:
- modern gravel bikes;
- fast all-road bikes;
- lightweight bikepacking setups;
- premium four-season commuters;
- setups with dynamo hubs and fenders.
Compatible with:
- cargo cage / bottle cage;
- front lights;
- fenders;
- internal dynamo cable routing.
Not approved for lowrider racks or touring racks.
If you need a fork with rack compatibility, consider an adventure fork designed for load carrying.
Important compatibility notes
Before purchasing, it is important to check:
- tapered 1-1/8"–1.5" steerer;
- 400 mm axle-to-crown measurement (fork height);
- 12×100 mm hub standard;
- Flat Mount brake compatibility;
- tyre clearance on the frame;
- compatibility with fully internal routing, where applicable.
A fork that is technically compatible on paper can still change bike behaviour if geometry and fork height are not coherent.
Installation and safety
Seido forks are supplied with official manufacturer instructions, which should be checked before installation.
Incorrect installation or non-compliant use may compromise function, safety and warranty coverage.

FAQ SEIDO RGT
Is the SEIDO RGT suitable for bikepacking?
Yes, but it is designed for light to medium bikepacking, with cargo cages and compact bags. It is not designed for expedition lowrider racks.
Can I fit a lowrider rack?
No. The RGT is not approved for racks or lowriders. If you need a travel fork with rack compatibility, the SEIDO MGV is a better option.
Can I use a dynamo hub?
Yes. The fork includes internal dynamo cable routing for a cleaner and more protected setup.
Is it compatible with fully internal cable routing?
Yes. It supports both semi-internal routing and fully internal routing through the steerer.
What tyre width does it support?
Up to approximately 700×47 mm or 650b×2.1", depending on frame, rim and tyre combination.
Is it compatible with my gravel bike?
It depends on geometry, fork height, axle standard and headset compatibility. If unsure, we can help verify compatibility.
