intro
A precise, no-nonsense carbon handlebar built the Thomson way. The MTB Carbon Handlebar is designed for riders who want clean cockpit control, low weight and dependable ergonomics — without confusion, gimmicks or trend-driven geometry.
performance & use
This is a flat bar with a subtle offset clamp design, not a traditional riser. That distinction matters.
The bar features an 8° backsweep, placing your hands in a natural, neutral position to reduce wrist strain and improve control over longer rides.
The geometry includes a 5 mm drop, achieved through the bar’s offset clamp area. This is not a structural rise: by rotating the bar during installation, you can choose a neutral or slightly dropped hand position. It’s a fine-tuning feature, not a major geometry change.
At 730 mm width, the bar offers precise steering and controlled handling — well suited to XC, light trail and fast, efficient MTB setups.
Carbon construction keeps weight low while maintaining a balanced feel between stiffness and vibration damping.
why choose it
- True flat bar design (not a riser)
