Teravail Moonstone – Carbon high-rise MTB / touring handlebar (826 mm)

A high-rise carbon handlebar (85 mm) with wide stance, designed for maximum control off-road and a very upright riding position in travel setups.

The Moonstone is rooted in MTB design and built for riders who spend most of their time off tarmac. The combination of high rise, backsweep and upsweep creates a stable, natural position suited to technical terrain and loaded riding.

Real-world use

  • Bikepacking on rough terrain and technical routes.
  • Off-road touring with medium to heavy loads.
  • Rigid MTB platforms or flat-bar converted gravel bikes.

Best suited for riders who primarily ride off-road and need control, stability and an upright position.

Differences from other models

  • 85 mm rise → significantly higher position than standard flat or riser bars.
  • 826 mm width → increased leverage and control on difficult terrain.
  • MTB-oriented geometry → designed for real off-road use.

Compared to a flat bar, it offers more control and a more relaxed position. Compared to a multi-position bar like the Whisky Winston, it focuses on control rather than hand position variety. Compared to a drop bar, it completely changes riding posture and handling off-road.

Position and comfort

The high rise reduces load on the back and arms, allowing a more upright and sustainable riding position over long distances.

The combination of 16° backsweep and 8° upsweep improves natural hand alignment, increasing comfort and control on rough terrain.

Configuration

This handlebar works best on setups focused on off-road riding and control.

  • Off-road travel bikes and technical bikepacking setups.
  • Rigid MTB or expedition-style builds.
  • Loaded setups on demanding terrain.

The wide profile can be trimmed to suit rider preference and bike configuration.
