Bombtrack Beyond+ 29
The Bombtrack Beyond+ 29 is made for riders who want to go where gravel bikes start to struggle: singletrack, rough forest roads, technical doubletrack and remote off-road crossings with full luggage. The 4130 double-butted steel frame with Boost spacing, paired with 29" wheels and 2.6" tyres, creates a solid, stable and confidence-inspiring platform for serious off-road adventures.
It’s a modern rigid adventure MTB: steel fork with multiple mounts, SRAM SX Eagle 1×12 drivetrain, hydraulic disc brakes and a flat bar designed for maximum control, even with heavy bikepacking setups. From multi-day bikepacking trips to technical trail riding, the Beyond+ 29 is built to carry you, your gear and your ambitions a very long way.
Why it’s a Beyond+ 29

Seido BPS CrMo fork with mounts for racks, cages, fenders and internal dynamo cable routing.
SRAM SX Eagle 1×12 drivetrain with 11–50T cassette for steep climbs and loaded travel.
SRAM Level hydraulic disc brakes with 200/180 mm rotors for powerful, controlled braking on long descents.

Adventure-ready geometry: stable with luggage, fun and predictable on rough trails and long dirt traverses.

Plenty of mounts on frame and fork for bags, racks, cages and expedition accessories.
Modern 1×12 drivetrain with real-world adventure gearing.

Short description
A steel, 29er adventure hardtail designed for bikepacking, technical trails and long-distance off-road touring: stable, robust and ready to go far, with or without luggage.
Ideal for
Off-road bikepacking and remote dirt touring.
Trail riding and singletrack with plus-size tyres.
Multi-day crossings on mixed, rough terrain with heavy load.
Riders who want a modern, rigid 29er platform for adventure use.
The Beyond+ 29 is conceived as a long-range plus MTB platform: the 4130 CrMo frame combines durability and comfort, while the Boost spacing and tyre clearance up to 29 × 3.0" allow very aggressive setups focused on grip and stability. The SRAM SX Eagle 1×12 drivetrain with 11–50T cassette provides a gear range designed for steep climbs, loaded travel and long days on the bike.
The Seido BPS steel fork integrates mounts for low-rider racks, cargo cages and fenders, plus internal routing for dynamo hubs – ideal for turning the bike into a full-on expedition machine. The wide flat bar cockpit and well-balanced rear triangle keep the bike predictable and composed both unloaded and with multiple bags and racks attached.
Independent reviews
Widely praised for its steel frame and secure, confidence-inspiring handling even when fully loaded: the Beyond+ 29 is often described as a bike that encourages you to push further.
Outstanding performance on technical off-road terrain: the 29” x 2.6” wheels and modern geometry deliver traction, comfort and stability, making it suitable for demanding trails and remote routes.
Regarded as one of the most versatile adventure platforms available: multiple mounting points, compatibility with rigid or suspension forks and generous cargo capacity make it ideal for both light bikepacking and multi-day expeditions.
The Eagle 12-speed drivetrain is frequently highlighted as “perfect for climbing anything”, offering a range capable of tackling steep gradients even with luggage.
Surprisingly agile handling: despite the high-volume tyres, reviewers note that the Beyond+ 29 remains playful and responsive, especially on flowy singletrack.

It’s a true adventure MTB platform. With 29” wheels, wide tyres and a flat bar, it sits much closer to a rigid mountain bike than to a gravel bike.
What’s the difference between Beyond+ 29 and the standard Beyond+?
The 29 version is faster and more efficient over distance and rough terrain. The standard 27.5+ version is more compact, playful and offers maximum grip at lower speeds.
Is it suitable for heavy bikepacking?
Yes. It’s built for real load. Steel frame, stable geometry and multiple mounts make it ideal for long, self-supported trips.
How does it handle technical trails?
Very well for a rigid setup. The 29 × 2.6” tyres provide good rollover and stability on rocky or uneven terrain.
29” or 27.5+ for off-road touring?
29” wheels roll faster and cover distance better. 27.5+ focuses more on traction and control. Choice depends on terrain and riding style.
Can it replace a front suspension bike?
In many cases, yes—especially for bikepacking. However, it remains a rigid bike: on very rough terrain, a suspension fork offers more comfort and control.
Who is this bike for?
Riders looking for a single platform for trail riding and off-road travel, with a clear MTB feel and without the complexity of suspension.

¹ The size recommendation is an indicative guideline to narrow down options based on rider height. Bike fitting is complex and also depends on other body measurements and personal preferences. Since no two riders are perfectly identical, there is no single recommendation that can be 100% accurate for everyone. The best way to confirm your size is to consult your Bombtrack dealer (info@bikejamming.it) or a professional bike fitter.
