Aerodynamic bikepacking system for aerobar extensions
The Revelate Designs Pitchfork Aerobar System is a cargo system designed specifically for use with aerobar extensions, intended for riders covering long distances where aerodynamic efficiency and stability are essential.
It is not a simple handlebar bag: it is a solution developed to integrate the load within the aero position, reducing its impact on airflow and improving overall efficiency.
Note: Images are for illustrative purposes only. Aerobar not included.
Aero-efficiency: carrying load without losing watts
Unlike traditional handlebar bags, the Pitchfork is designed to:
sit between the extensions
maintain a streamlined profile
reduce aerodynamic drag
The result is a system that:
does not create a “wall” against the wind
maintains the natural aero position
allows you to ride longer with less fatigue
It is a completely different approach from front-end bikepacking.
Total stability: “no-bounce” system
One of the main problems with bags mounted on aerobars is instability.
The Pitchfork uses a two-part system:
laser-cut rigid holster
dedicated removable dry bag
Once mounted:
the structure remains fixed to the bars
the bag can be inserted and removed quickly
the load stays stable even on uneven terrain
Zero vibrations, zero noise, zero noticeable sway.
Smart organisation and quick access
The system integrates several practical solutions:
stretch side pockets (Ultra Stretch)
double pockets for organisation
top bungee system for additional load
removable front stabilizer strap
The pockets allow access to:
gels
bars
small items
without leaving the aero position.
Advanced materials: ultralight and durable
The construction uses high-end materials:
Challenge EPX 200 laminate (holster)
Ultra Stretch UHMWPE for the pockets
Hypalon TPU for high-stress areas
Challenge Ultra 200 UHMWPE for the dry bag
Extremely lightweight and abrasion-resistant materials, designed for intensive use.
Adjustable mounting system
The Pitchfork is designed to adapt to different configurations:
mounting system with adjustable slots
compatible with different bar spacing widths
stable mounting even on complex setups
Official compatibility and dimensions
Bar spacing: 89–127 mm: Before purchase, it is therefore important to check carefully the actual distance between the bars and the overall cockpit clearance.
Holster: 184 mm
Dry bag: 305 × 152 mm
Removable 6 L dry bag
1 L side pockets on each side.
Check before purchase
check that the spacing between the extensions falls within the 89–127 mm range
make sure that the 305 mm dry bag length fits within your setup
if you have bar-end shifters or a very compact cockpit, it is better to contact us before purchase with cockpit photos and measurements.
