An essential touring classic
The Crosso Dry 60 are the base model in the range from the Polish manufacturer Crosso, widely used for years by cycle tourists and long-distance travelers looking for simple, durable, and fully waterproof panniers.
The construction follows a very clear philosophy: proven materials, essential structure, and long-term reliability.
The PVC-coated polyester fabric, high-frequency welded seams, and roll-top closure create an effective barrier against water, mud, and dust.
With 60 liters of total capacity, the Dry 60 offer ample space for travel gear while maintaining a stable structure even with heavy loads on traditional touring rear racks.
In the waterproof rear pannier segment, many benchmark models offer lower capacity while being significantly more expensive.
What type of travel they are designed for
The Dry 60 are a logical choice for riders looking for robust waterproof rear panniers without unnecessary complexity.
They work particularly well for:
first long trip
touring across Europe
light gravel touring
university travel or gap year
classic rack-based cycle touring
They are therefore a very solid technical entry point for bike touring, but also a practical, simple, and robust solution. For those planning very long trips or particularly intensive use of their gear, the Crosso Expert 66 in Cordura is also available, designed for demanding cycle touring and heavy loads.
Waterproof construction: welded PVC fabric
The body of the panniers is made from PVC-coated polyester (Plastel / Polymar), a material well known in cycle touring for its waterproofness and ease of maintenance.
The joints are high-frequency welded (HF welding), completely eliminating stitched seams that could become potential leak points over time.
The roll-top closure guarantees waterproof sealing: rolling the top edge at least three times creates an effective barrier against water, dust, and mud.
The coated fabric also offers a practical advantage: after a trip, simple rinsing with water is enough to remove dirt and dust.
Crosso mounting system
This version uses the Crosso mounting system, the brand’s classic rack attachment system.
Main features
2 mm galvanized steel upper hooks
extremely robust system
high resistance to vibration and movement
stable attachment even with heavy loads
The philosophy is maximum mechanical simplicity: few components, no fragile elements, and easy management even during very long journeys.
Each set also includes rack protection inserts designed to prevent scratches on rack tubing.
The system is designed for racks with tube diameters of about 10 mm. Without the rack protectors included in the set, it can also fit tubes up to 13 mm in diameter.
The Crosso Dry 60 are also available in an adjustable Rail System version, which allows you to adjust the distance between the upper hooks.
Real capacity for self-supported touring
With 30 liters per side, the Dry 60 allow you to easily carry:
sleeping bag
travel clothing
camping equipment
food supplies
technical spares
The structure with a 2 mm rigid polypropylene back plate helps maintain the shape of the pannier even when fully loaded.
Visibility and available colors
Integrated reflective elements provide visibility up to 600 meters.
The model is available as standard in black. Other colors can be ordered on request, with very fast lead times:
This configuration allows proper distribution of gear between the front and rear for longer journeys.
Load configuration for touring
Rear panniers are only one part of the load system of a touring bicycle. Frame design, rack type, weight distribution, and pannier volume all influence bike stability and handling during long journeys. For more details, see Touring Bike Luggage - Buyer's Guide and Load Distribution – Guide.
Bikejamming selects equipment for bicycle travel that has been tested in real cycle touring conditions and on long-distance routes.
