Genesis Equilibrium – steel road disc all-rounder

The Equilibrium has been a cornerstone of the Genesis Bikes range since 2008, developed as a steel road bike focused on real-world versatility.

Built around a Reynolds 725 heat-treated chromoly frameset, the Equilibrium is designed to remain composed on broken tarmac, rough roads and mixed surfaces. The full carbon fork contributes to steering precision and braking control, while rack and mudguard mounts allow the bike to be used year-round.

Model positioning

The Genesis Equilibrium is intended for:

• endurance road riding

• poor road surfaces, cobbles and secondary roads

• riders looking for a traditional steel road bike with disc brakes

The long-proven Equilibrium geometry prioritises stability, comfort and predictability, making it suitable for long and consistent rides rather than aggressive race positioning.

Ride setup

The Equilibrium is supplied with 700×32 mm tyres, increasing comfort compared to traditional narrow-tyre road bikes and extending usability to green lanes, light gravel and rough surfaces.

The Shimano 105 11-speed drivetrain provides a wide and practical gear range, while Shimano 105 hydraulic disc brakes deliver consistent braking performance in all weather conditions.
