The strong, reliable and lightweight Reynolds 725 steel frame is the heart of the bike. This emblazoned steel (1080-1280 MPA) is heat treated to increase tensile strength: it is heated to 1600F, a temperature at which a structural change occurs in the crystal lattice, which takes on a stronger and more uniform orientation. The cooling then sets the change and the strong piping is thin, which benefits weight and responsiveness. If the worst happens, a weld will put the bike back on track (which is impossible with aluminum, titanium, carbon).

The building kit brings out Shimano's flagship products, available everywhere and very reliable.

Maximum pragmatism: triple crankset to tackle climbs at full load, low-maintenance 10spd cassette with reliable shifting even when you can't clean it as you would at home, no tearing between gears.

Each component of this bike is chosen to withstand high mileage, ensuring ease of maintenance: TRP Spyre-C mechanical disc brakes are self-serviceable (unlike hydraulic systems) and consistent; an Allen key is what you need for maintenance of the headset; MTB rims are Schwalbe Marathon rubberized, synonymous with transcontinental durability and true puncture resistance; 36 sturdy 14g steel spokes (3 spare spokes are housed directly on the frame).

Dynamo front hub powers a great set of lights. You will never need to replace batteries or remember to recharge your lights, and you can add an extra power bank or USB chargers.
