Among lots of exciting news for 2020, there’s the launch of three new bikes.

NO MORE PRESSFIT BOTTOM BRACKETS

Initiated in 2019 Bombtrack has now fully switched to threaded bottom brackets. All of Bombtrack frames in MY20, including all carbon and aluminum frames, will come with threaded bottom bracket shells, either T47 or BSA. There won’t be any more pressfit bottom brackets in the Bombtrack lineup!

GENERAL CHANGES

•  All bikes (with the exception of Oxbridge, Oxbridge geared, and Trinity) will come with new paint and decals. Oxbridge, Oxbridge geared, and Trinity models will carry over unchanged from MY19.
•  All through-axles will be changed to a cam-free tooled design with a removable lever. (BIKERUMOR, 14/11/18: "SwitchLever makes thru axles pretty without giving up the lever: The SwitchLever is a fairly standard thru axle option with one nifty trick up its sleeve: A disappearing lever. The result is that your bike can have that clean look of tooled thru axles, but without having to use a floppy mini-tool to change a flat on the side of the road. The included lever detaches, leaving a smooth dropout area, then snaps in when it’s time to install or remove your wheel. Thanks to a variety of thread pitches and lengths, they’re available to replace virtually axles you may have. […] The lever handles come in solid and hollow. […] They say the average axle weight is 41g, obviously more for longer axle widths. These levers can be used on most any tooled thru axle, but their axle is designed to capture it so it won’t fall out if you decide to leave it in. Once tightened, you can pull it out and reposition it to the desired angle. […]").
•  Most bikes use Bombtrack own branded crank with 386Evo spindle and direct mount 1x chainring or spider. The fitting used is interchangeable with the standard Sram direct mount interface.
•  All frames will come with threaded bottom brackets, either T47 or BSA. The Hook, Tension, Audax, and Tempest will come with T47 bottom bracket shells. The Arise, Beyond, Outlaw, and Oxbridge with the BSA threaded style.
•  Arise 2, Arise geared, and Beyond will come in two colourways
•  Some bikes in the Hook and the Beyond range will come with triple bottle mounts on the down tube and seat tube.
•  This will allow multiple bottle cage positions, customizable depending on the configuration of different sized bottles and possible use of a frame bag:

1.   Upper mounts on the seat tube and down tube - easy access when there is no frame bag.
2.   Lower mount on the seat tube and upper mount on the down tube – more room for bigger bottles or a small frame bag.
3.   Lower mount on the down tube, no bottle on seat tube – maximum space when combining a water bottle and a frame bag.
4.   Cargo cage on the down tube for water bottles bigger than 750 ml.
