Genesis Smithfield – steel urban & leisure e-bike
The Smithfield is an urban and leisure e-bike designed in the UK by Genesis Bikes, intended for everyday city riding as well as relaxed journeys on cycle paths, towpaths and light gravel tracks.
Built from Genesis Mjolnir seamless double-butted chromoly steel, the frame is instantly recognisable thanks to its twin top tube and classic proportions. The use of 29” wheels with higher-volume tyres contributes to stability and comfort across mixed surfaces.
Electric assist system
The Smithfield is equipped with the Shimano STEPS E6100 system, featuring:
250W drive unit with 60 Nm torque
418 Wh external battery mounted on the down tube
claimed range up to 150 km in Eco mode
The external battery can be removed easily for charging when a power outlet is not available near the bike. Claimed charging times are around 2 hours to 80% and around 4 hours to 100%.
A clear, easy-to-read handlebar display integrates controls for assistance modes and lighting.

The Smithfield combines a single-chainring, 9-speed drivetrain, hydraulic disc brakes and a practical equipment package aimed at daily usability:
