Ridgeback Advance 3 – versatile e-bike for mixed-surface riding
The Ridgeback Advance 3 is an e-bike designed for broad, everyday use across paved roads, cycle paths, light trails and mixed terrain. The platform combines modern geometry with components selected for comfort, reliability and long-range riding.
The aluminium frame integrates an internal 504 Wh battery and features a 12 mm rear thru-axle, contributing to stable and predictable handling on varied surfaces.
Electric assist system
The Advance 3 is powered by the Shimano STEPS E6100 system, designed for smooth and progressive assistance:

Control is managed via the Shimano STEPS E5000 combined display and switch, offering simple and intuitive operation.
The Darfon internal 504 Wh battery is integrated into the frame and provides a claimed range of up to 205 km, depending on assist mode and riding conditions.
Comfort and control
Comfort is addressed through a combination of components intended for real-world riding:
RST Volant suspension fork with 60 mm travel
Schwalbe G-One Bite 700×50c tyres with high air volume
15° backsweep handlebar for a natural hand position
This setup is designed to absorb surface irregularities while maintaining control and stability on mixed terrain.
Drivetrain and braking
The 10-speed microSHIFT drivetrain offers gearing suited to urban riding, rolling terrain and longer distances.
Alhonga hydraulic disc brakes provide consistent and controllable braking performance.
