Ridgeback Voyage – classic touring bike for long-distance riding
The Ridgeback Voyage is a traditional touring bike designed for long-distance riding on tarmac and secondary roads, with a clear focus on comfort, stability and load-carrying capability. Its classic design and proven components make it suitable both for everyday use and for multi-day touring.
The frame is built from Reynolds 520 chromoly steel, paired with a gently raked chromoly fork, contributing to a smooth, predictable ride, particularly when the bike is loaded with panniers.
Comfort and stability over long distances
The combination of:
Reynolds 520 steel frame
Kenda Kwest 700×32 mm tyres
dedicated touring geometry
delivers stable handling and comfort on extended rides. The frame offers clearance for tyres up to 700×35 mm, allowing more comfort-oriented setups if required.
Drivetrain designed for loaded touring
The Ridgeback Voyage features a Shimano triple drivetrain:
48-36-26T chainset
11–34T cassette
This gearing range is well suited to steep climbs with luggage, providing low ratios for controlled climbing while maintaining versatility on flatter terrain.
Braking performance and touring equipment
Tektro RX6 Mini-V brakes provide increased braking power compared to traditional cantilever systems, while remaining compatible with road brake levers.
