The Munroe Cargo Frameset is the ideal foundation if you want a compact cargo bike built around your real needs: the same philosophy as the complete bike (stable under load and easy to handle in the city), but with the freedom to choose drivetrain, brakes, wheels, cockpit and accessories based on how you actually use it (groceries, kids, work, deliveries). The “mixed” wheel concept—20" front + 27.5" rear—aims for a simple balance: a tough, responsive front wheel, a more comfortable rear wheel, and a dedicated front rack ready to manage everyday loads.
Why choose the Munroe Cargo frameset
- Load customization: decide how you really carry things (crate, bags, child seat, box) without compromises.
- Components that match your use: low gearing for easy starts or a faster-rolling setup, stronger brakes, tubeless-ready wheels, dynamo lighting.
- Targeted upgrades over time: start with a solid base and improve the build when you want—without changing platform.
- Availability & timing: when the complete bike is hard to source, the frameset is often the most direct way to get “your” Munroe.
In practice: the frameset makes sense if you have specific needs (load, route, maintenance) or if you want a “tailored” cargo build to replace many car trips—without adding unnecessary complexity.

Final sizing notes (the “usual” ones):- Height ranges (*) are indicative: inseam, torso/arm proportions and riding style matter.
- Reach and stack define your position; on a cargo bike, how you feel at low-speed maneuvers matters too.
- Standover: leave a safety margin, especially if you ride loaded and stop/start often.
- Adjustments (stem, spacers, saddle setback, bar rise) fine-tune fit, but don’t replace the correct frame size.
- If you’re between sizes: M = more compact and easier in the city; L = more stable and roomier for longer rides.
